We’re so glad you’re interested in contributing to the Harbor blog! One of our major goals in starting this blog is to give Harbor students a chance to reflect on how you are seeking Jesus in various aspects of your life as SRU students, and share this with your peers. Following Jesus involves creativity, innovation, and deep wisdom as we seek to be faithful as image bearers of God, as college students, and as members of our campus community. Offering an example of how you are pursuing faithfulness, however imperfectly, is a great way to support others and spur each other along!
You want to share something, but you’re not a great writer? You don’t think you’re creative? Grammar is your kryptonite? Have no fear! Our campus minister, Sam Levy, was an English major, and he’s thrilled to help you put together a great piece!
Here’s what we’re looking for:
1) Answer one of the following questions in a 600-1000 word reflection:
- What does it look like for you to pursue faithfulness to Christ as a student in your major and as a future worker in that field?
- What does it look like for you to love God and love your neighbor in another aspect of your life as an SRU student (e.g., in your dorm, in a club, in your job, in SGA, in your daily routine)?
2) Email your draft to Sam at firstname.lastname@example.org.
